The people living in Lake Windsor are wealthy and they have very safe environment, but on the other side there is Tangerine. Through these journal entries the reader is able to see very closely that it is a divided community. The story is written in the form of journal entries. He lives in an upper middle-class community where he is able to see through most things that happen around him. Although he has bad eyes, he is not blind. Paul Fisher is the protagonist of the novel. In the following year, the novel was nominated for the Rebecca Caudill Young Reader’s Book Award. In the year 2000, it was the winner of the South Carolina Book Award for Junior Book. The novel was nominated for the Michigan Library Association Thumbs Up Award in 1998. Besides telling about the story about soccer, the book also tells about dysfunctional family life and apocalyptic natural disasters.
